A Dedicated Home Carer, Matched Just to You

We believe care works best when it feels human.

Happiest at Home was founded on a simple and strongly held belief: the quality of care a person receives depends entirely on the quality of the relationship behind it. Not on how large the organisation is. Not on how many services are listed in a brochure. It comes down to whether the person who turns up at your door is someone you know, trust, and feel genuinely comfortable with.

Everything we do is built around that idea, starting with a dedicated home carer who is matched to you and stays with you.

We believe care works best when it feels human

Happiest at Home was founded with a simple and strongly held belief: that the quality of care a person receives depends entirely on the quality of the relationship behind it.

Not on how large the organisation is. Not on how many services are listed on a brochure. On whether the person who turns up at your door is someone you know, trust and feel genuinely comfortable with.

Everything we do is built around that idea.

A dedicated home carer, not a rota

There is one thing we offer that most care services do not: a dedicated CarePal, matched specifically to you, who turns up for every visit. Not a rota. Not whoever happens to be available. The same person, consistently, building a real relationship over time.

We call them CarePals because that is what they become. Not just a carer who visits, but a familiar, trusted presence who learns your routines, your preferences, and what makes a good day, or a difficult one. Unlike a standard carer arrangement, your CarePal is chosen for you and stays with you, so continuity is built in from the start.

Here is what that looks like in practice:

  • You meet your CarePal before care begins, through a relaxed meet and greet.
  • Your dedicated home carer is chosen around your needs, your personality, and what matters most to you.
  • Family members can see when your CarePal arrives and leaves, for peace of mind from a distance.
  • If something does not feel right, you tell us, and we act on it quickly.

Who we support

We support a wide range of people across the UK, including:

  • Older adults who want to stay independent at home for as long as possible.
  • People living with disabilities, whether physical, learning, or cognitive.
  • Adults with autism, mental health needs, or complex support requirements.
  • Individuals recovering from illness, surgery, or a hospital stay.
  • Children and young people with additional needs.
  • Family carers who need regular, reliable respite.
  • Case managers, court deputies, and local authorities building support packages for their clients.

We also work with families who are arranging care for a loved one from a distance and who simply need to feel confident in who is walking through that door.

How we choose our CarePals

We are particular about who joins our team, because character matters as much as experience, and sometimes more. Every CarePal goes through a thorough process before they meet a single client:

  • Enhanced DBS checks, carried out as standard.
  • Identity verification and background screening.
  • Reference checks, followed up properly.
  • Interview and assessment, with a focus on warmth, reliability, and how they communicate.

Above all, we look for people who are genuinely kind, calm under pressure, and respectful of the dignity and independence of those they support. They understand that being a dedicated home carer is about a relationship, not just a task list.

How we match you with the right carer

Matching is the most important thing we do. Get it right, and everything else follows. Get it wrong, and no amount of good intentions makes up for it.

When you get in touch, we take time to understand the full picture: support needs, routines, personality, communication style, what has worked before, and what has not. We ask about the things that matter to a real life, not just a care plan.

Then we find a CarePal who fits. We share their profile before anyone meets anyone, so you can see their background, their experience, and, just as importantly, who they are as a person. If you would like to ask questions before the meet and greet, please ask away.

The meet and greet itself is relaxed and unhurried. Family members are always welcome. It is simply about making sure everyone feels comfortable before anything starts.

Ready to find out more?

If you would like to talk through what care could look like for you or your loved one, we are easy to reach. There is no pressure and no obligation, just an honest conversation about what you need and how we might help.

What is a CarePal?

A CarePal is your dedicated home carer at Happiest at Home, matched to you and present for every visit. Rather than sending a rota of different faces, we introduce one consistent, trusted person who gets to know you and how you like things done.

How do you match a carer?

We take time to understand needs, routines, personality, and preferences, then choose a CarePal who fits. You see their profile first, meet them at a relaxed meet and greet, and only continue once you feel comfortable.

Are your carers checked and vetted?

Yes. Every CarePal completes enhanced DBS checks, identity verification, background screening, and reference checks, alongside an interview that looks closely at warmth, reliability, and communication.

Can family arrange care from a distance?

Absolutely. We work with families across the UK who are organising care for a loved one remotely, and you can see when your CarePal arrives and leaves for reassurance from afar.
