Support for appointments and everyday outings

A favourite café, a community group, a trip to the shops or time outdoors can be an important part of your week. Tell us where you would like to go and what would make the outing feel comfortable for you.
Start with the places that matter
You may want someone alongside you for an appointment, company while you browse the shops or support taking part in an agreed activity. We listen to your interests and preferred pace, including when you like to pause or how much conversation you enjoy.
The plan can be about keeping a familiar routine or exploring something you would like to do. It starts with your choice, rather than a standard list of outings.
Choose someone you feel at ease with
A CarePal is a care and support worker matched around your needs, interests and communication preferences. We consider the practical requirements of the outing as well as the personal fit, then share suitable profiles so you can help choose whom to meet.
Meeting first gives you a chance to explain how you like to spend your time and ask about the proposed arrangements. Family or trusted people can be involved where you want them.
Agree the useful details
We discuss the destination, timings, access needs and journey before support starts. Travel, vehicle use, any assistance and permissions must be agreed for the individual arrangement. Accompaniment does not replace professional advice, treatment or therapy.
We aim for a dedicated CarePal, or a small consistent team where appropriate, so familiarity can build. The same individual cannot be guaranteed for every visit.
Let’s talk about what would help
Our minimum visit is two hours, with a minimum support package of six hours per week. Both minimums apply.
There is no upfront matching fee. Payment begins when a suitable CarePal is in place and support starts, in line with your agreement.
We check your postcode, the proposed activities and CarePal availability with you. Personal-care, medication and specialist tasks need separate scope and suitability checks. This is planned support for agreed appointments and outings.
