Discuss a live-in CarePal match

If you are considering a longer support arrangement at home, the personal fit matters. A CarePal is a care and support worker matched around the individual. Start with the routines, company and practical help you would want in your own home.

Your home should still feel like your home

Talk to us about how you like your day to run, the activities you enjoy and where you would welcome support. Mealtimes, shared spaces, privacy and time to yourself can all be useful parts of the conversation.

We will discuss whether a live-in matching arrangement is suitable, including the proposed support and accommodation. An enquiry gives you a way to explore the possibilities with the team.

Consider the person as well as the arrangement

We consider the relevant experience, personality, communication preferences, location and availability for the proposed package. You review suitable profiles, help choose whom to meet and meet before support starts.

Family or trusted people can be involved where the individual wants this. We aim for a dedicated CarePal, or a small consistent team where appropriate, but the same person cannot be guaranteed throughout the arrangement.

Make the practical expectations clear

Before you decide, we discuss duties, working hours, planned breaks, privacy, possible cover and any overnight needs. A live-in arrangement does not mean continuous waking support, and cover cannot be guaranteed.

Personal care, medication, specialist tasks and overnight duties need an individual scope and suitability check. The team will explain the relevant responsibilities and arrangements before anything is agreed.

Let’s talk about what would help

Our minimum visit is two hours, with a minimum support package of six hours per week. Both minimums apply.

There is no upfront matching fee. Payment begins when a suitable CarePal is in place and support starts, in line with your agreement.

We check whether the proposed arrangement is suitable for the person, home and postcode, and discuss CarePal availability. This is a conversation about planned support; it does not promise an immediate start.
