Practical help at home shaped around you

Your home has its own routines and your own way of doing things. A helping hand should fit around those habits. You decide what you want to keep doing yourself and which everyday tasks you would welcome help with.

Make room for the things you enjoy

You might want help working through the shopping list, preparing a favourite meal or keeping on top of agreed household tasks. We start by asking what would be useful to you and what you would rather manage independently.

Support can mean doing something together as well as having someone take care of a task. Tell us what you enjoy being involved in, how you like things organised and the parts of the week when help would be welcome.

A person who listens to your preferences

A CarePal is a care and support worker matched around your practical needs, interests and routine. We look at the personal fit as well as location and availability. You review suitable profiles, help choose whom to meet and meet before visits begin.

Use the introduction to talk through the details that matter in your home. You do not have to explain your preferences away or accept someone else’s way of doing everything.

A familiar rhythm to your week

We aim for a dedicated CarePal, or a small consistent team where appropriate, so there is time to learn your home and routines. We discuss visit times, access and changes with you. The same individual cannot be guaranteed for every visit.

When your priorities change, tell us. We can discuss how the agreed support might need to change too.

Let’s talk about what would help

Our minimum visit is two hours, with a minimum support package of six hours per week. Both minimums apply.

There is no upfront matching fee. Payment begins when a suitable CarePal is in place and support starts, in line with your agreement.

We confirm the household activities, postcode, suitability and CarePal availability before support starts. Any personal-care, medication or specialist requirements are reviewed separately. This is planned, regular help.
